Friday-Sunday Dec 28-30

Friday I made it to the gym and did a straight cardio day. I did over an hour of cardio. Saturday and Sunday I did not make it to the gym, but managed to eat fairly well. My goal is to get to the gym on Tuesday and Wednesday and then do home workouts on Thursday and Friday.

Thursday December 27th

Well I managed to go to the gym 2 days in a row!!!!! Today at the gym I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and 15 minutes on the treadmill. I also lifted arms today. For breakfast I had 1C of Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal and 1C of 1% milk. I blew it at lunch though and had 2 pieces of pizza. I have dinner in the crock pot - it is chicken and rice with veggies. To make up for having the pizza, I may try and go back to the gym today.

Oh My God - Are you kidding me????

So I just uploaded our pictures from our Christmas celebrations, and I cannot believe how horrible I look. It truly is disgusting! It really is time to make a change. I did go workout this morning, but I need to make a pact to do it everyday. My husband got me all of the Biggest Loser DVDs, the Biggest Loser Cookbook, and Kim Lyon's new book (I asked for all of these things). Now I need to put them to use. I just can't believe how bad I have gotten over the last 4 months - I am so disappointed!

Goodness Gracious it has been long enough!

Well yesterday was officially 1 month since I quit smoking. I feel better, but I still miss it. I have been throwing myself into keeping busy so I can kick the habit. I am working out right after work - right now just in the basement, I will start going to the gym instead when I get bored with my at home routine, which will happen. At the house we have a treadmill and a stationary bike. I also have a ton of weights, a balancing ball, a mat, jump rope, etc. I am working off the Buff Bride book, which I definitely recommend. Since quitting smoking I have put on about 2 pounds, but I am confident I will be able to shed that in no time. My goal is now 7 pounds and to tone up. I am working on eating healthier by cooking dinners at home and packing lots of fruits and veggies in my lunch. I am hoping to begin updating this blog every day, but right now work is keeping me too busy for that :).

Time to workout.

My goal today is to go straight from work to the gym. I am hoping to get into the routine of going to the gym after work instead of going home. If I go home - I know I won't go back out to the gym. I weighed in this morning and weighed 130.8. I am five feet 7.5 inches tall. My goal is 125 by Halloween. If I can get to that weight then I am going to wear a cute costume for Halloween. Wish me luck on my new goal!

Today is the day!

Today I start taking Chantix. I went yesterday to the doctor to get the medicine to help me quit smoking. The doctor was very impressed that I was only there to get the medicine. She said most people come in with chronic bronchitis or breathing problems, before they decide to quit smoking. I will start taking the medicine this morning, but the directions for the medicine say to keep smoking for ten days while on the medicine before quitting all together. Tomorrow I begin my workout regimen. I would go today after work I am going to my parents and won't be able to get to the gym. My goal for the rest of the week is to go to the gym tomorrow, Wednesday, Thursday, and maybe Friday. Wish me luck on quitting smoking!

Monday Sept 10th is Dday!

Monday I am going to the doctor to see about getting the medicine to help me quit smoking. My goal is to quit smoking and pretty much do a makeover on my life. I am planning on going straight from work to the gym and then start dinner when I get home. After dinner, I am thinking I will either relax or take my dogs for a walk. My hair is very very very long (about 4" from my behind). I am going to get it cut to just below my shoulders on Friday. I will post more about my workout schedule, eating plan, and workout plan next week.

Need to change my life!

I have been a smoker for almost 7 years. I have recently decided it is time to quit. I am going to the doctor in two weeks to get the medicine that helps you to stop smoking. I am a little concerned about gaining weight after I quit smoking, but in the long run quiting will be good for my health. I am 5'8" and weigh 128 pounds. Two and a half years ago when I got married I weighed 139 pounds. I have changed my eating habits a little bit, but I am still not exercising. I have had a gym membership for the last three years, but I haven't been regularly since March. My goal weight is 120-125 pounds.

The fitness goals I am setting for myself are as follows:
1. Go to the gym at least 3 days during the work week and at least 1 day on the weekend.
2. Take each of my dogs a walk separately on the days I do not go to the gym.
3. I am just looking to tone up my body.

I would like to wear a sexy costume for Halloween so that gives me about a month to tone up certain areas.

I will be updating my blog regarding what my routine is each time I go to the gym and also my eating habits. My husband was a personal trainer about 4 years ago, so if you have any questions please let me know. I will be posting my healthy recipes on my food blog so please check there if something sounds good.
